After breakfast, drive 1 hr. to Galicica National Park (North Macedonian English local guide) and 5-hour walk (medium difficulty and 600 m of altitude difference). Drive 30 mins & visit Saint Naum & the Monastery. A magnificently massive complex, located 29 kilometers south of Ohrid, on a plateau close to the Albanian border. It is, without any doubt, one of the most attractive Macedonian tourist destinations.
With a wonderful surrounding area, the St. Naum Monastery is a popular day trip where you can enjoy both nature and religious heritage. This 10th-century monastery, founded by Saint Naum himself, offers a unique blend of history, culture, and picturesque landscapes. Crossing the border to Albania and a 20 mins drive reaching National Park of Drilon for a visit. A paradise for those who want to temporarily forget about the bustle of the city.
The park is located in the neighborhood of the same tourist destination. Located in a clean place among the snow-capped mountains on the shores of Lake Ohrid – the deepest in Europe. Day 7. 13-Aug-26 Voskopoja 4- hrs walk & Church, Korca City tour, typical Dinner @ Hani Pazarit. O/n Korca, Albania. 73 km.
After breakfast, drive 1 hr. to Voskopoja village for a 4-hour walk, as a perfect place for hiking and walking and visiting the church. Voskopoja village, holding significance due to its cultural and religious heritage. Its churches with frescoes are among the most stunning in all of Albania.
Historically, the town was a centre of trade and craftsmanship during the Ottoman period. A peaceful atmosphere and picturesque surroundings only serve to further enhance its charm. Drive 30 mins to Korca, city. We’ll get to know the city through a walking tour. The first Albanian school and the main monument to visit: the Orthodox Cathedral. With a very particular character and atmosphere, it feels very different to most other places in Albania.

Day 8. Thermal Bath of Bënjë Permet, Lengarica Canyon. O/n Permet, Albania. 140 km.
After breakfast drive 2.50 hrs. to Bënjë Thermal Baths. The thermal waters of Benja (Bënjë) are natural sulfur springs with water rising up through deep tectonic cracks. In total there are 6 springs with each having water following a natural way up into a stone bath. The Bënjë Thermal Baths have been used since antiquity. These sulfur springs emanate from deep tectonic faults on both sides of the Lengarica Canyon.
The water comes up at a varying flow rate of between 8 to 40 liters per second and has a temperature of 22-28°C. In reality, the pools themselves are not really hot, but rather lukewarm. The springs are of the chloro-sodium-calcium type and contain lots of minerals. Each spring has different therapeutic properties for the treatment of skin, stomach, kidney, and rheumatic diseases.
The water also contains sulfur, giving it a bit of a stinky smell, which is typical for geothermal springs. Next stop is Langarica Canyon a stunning natural wonder within the scenic Bredhi i Hotovës National Park. The natural panorama along the Langarica canyon is stunning and untouched by the human hand. It changes through the seasons and gives a colorful and expressive scenery of the nature in this area.
Inside the canyon there are many caves, a variety of trees and aromatic bushes, and thermal springs formed by sulfur waters which stream from the caves. Drive 25 mins. Overnight in Permet, Albania. Hotel Alvero
Day 9. UNESCO Gjirokastra city, Castle & Bazaar Pass. Free time. O/n Gjirokaster, Albania. 60 km.
After breakfast, drive 1 hr. to Gjirokastra UNESCO. Start city tour of Gjirokastra and Castle as the largest one in Albania. Gjirokastra City of Stone. UNESCO site and museum town with very distinct architecture. One of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, this gorgeous, carefully preserved, peculiar-looking city is built on steep slopes where stone-roofed houses seem to be built on top of one another.
THE CASTLE OF GJIROKASTRA: WARS, LEGENDS, AND FEASTS. The Castle of Gjirokastra resides in a dramatic location, on the hilltop overlooking the city. After breakfast, drive 40 mins to the Blue Eye, a Natural Phenomenon. Enjoying the beauty of it and the amazing nature. The Blue Eye, Europe’s Tropical Oasis As unexpectedly spectacular as the coast of Southern Albania is. A water spring with extremely light blue water bubbles in a more than 50-metre-deep pool. You’ll be mesmerized by how clear the water is, to the point that you’ll be able to see straight to the bottom.
Drive 40 mins to National Park of Butrint and stop @ Butrint Archaeological Site as the most important one in Albania. Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Witness the Stages of Mediterranean Civilization: Butrint National Park: Built in the 8th century BC, and was used as a transit station between Epirus
(which were within the borders of today’s Albania) and the Italian territories to the south. Butrint was colonized by many, even by the Romans under Julius Caesar in 44 BC. and later occupied by the Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman empires.

After breakfast, drive1.30 hrs. to Porto Palermo Castle. Visit the Most Picturesque Albanian Castles of the Riviera, Porto Palermo. Built on the hill of an island, connected to the shore via a narrow man-made strip of land, this Castle attracts everyone’s immediate attention.
The castle was built in 19th century at the request of Ali Pashë Tepelena, (an Albanian ruler who served as Pasha of the Pashalik of Ioannina) after the destruction of Justinian’s castle. After breakfast, a 20 mins drive to reach & visit the Island of Zvernec. Covered in pines, the small gorgeous island of Zvernec off the coast of Vlora can be reached by walking along a 270- meter-long wooden bridge, offering the visitor a one-of-a-kind experience with nature.
Drive 1.30 hrs. to UNESCO city of Berat known as the city of “One above the other Windows”. Bridges and Rugged Outdoors, that has placed Berat in UNESCO’s list of world Heritage Sites. Berat Castle has particular interest as people still live within its walls in their traditional houses, as have their ancestors for centuries. The castle used to have over many churches of which 7 still remain, including one turned into Onufri Ichnographic Museum.
